My passion to lead a healthy lifestyle and pursue a background in the health and fitness industry was ignited after I suffered a career ending spinal injury while playing college football for Bowling Green State University. I was told by multiple doctors that I would have to live an inactive lifestyle due to the damage. I also grew up in a community that didn’t value health and fitness;it was look at as a luxury rather than a necessity. As a child, I learned being unhealthy and having certain chronic diseases were all fueled by genetics. With a passion for health and fitness, I have come to understand that proper education and training can lead to an active, healthy lifestyle. Our daily habits are the driving force behind our success in achieving this goal;we can learn how to move better and live without disease. Ultimately, it is up to us to take care of ourselves. We only get one body in life – it's the most valuable thing we possess. Taking care of it should be our top priority!
